I recently moved into the area and after using the same vet for over 33 years,stopped in at this vet to "meet and greet".I was so very impressed by Dr.Rana and his staff,that it made it easy to make the switch.I have 3 dogs,one being a puppy,and Dr.Rana has been wonderful.We had an emergency the other night and he and one of his assistants met us at the hospital at almost 10pm.He went above and beyond anything I ever expected.He is a true humanitarian,and truly cares about the animals and not just the money.He makes it easy to take care of your pets.I am a long time breeder and have Champion show dogs,so I really know good from not so good.I would SO highly recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pet! I brought my cockapoo Molly to Woodbury Road Animal Hospital for a second opinion and I was so impressed with how the Dr. took the time and patience to not only explain what was wrong with Molly but actually treat her in this 1 visit. I must say I was very impressed because we were currently bringing Molly to West Hills in Huntington and my dog was literally treated by a 19 year old undergrad after having me wait 45 minutes to see her just for her to give me some cream and tell me to come back in 2 weeks. 220.00 dollars later we found Woodbury Road Vet and I am so excited to say that we have switched our vet and can't be happier about it...

I had a terrible experience with this vet Dr. Jaipal Rana. He did a procedure on my dog and ended up cutting his rectum incompetently. Even worse they allowed his condition to deteriorate for a week under their supervision. When he was near death, they dropped him off at another hospital nearby. All this was going on while my family was on vacation and we knew nothing. They never even called to tell us what was going on. Please be wary of this Dr. Jaipal Rana of Woodbury Road Veterinary Hospital located in Plainview NY. Dr Jaipal Rana DVM also owns Animal Hospital of Long Island in Hempstead NY. I would strongly caution all pet owners to avoid both of these places.
