      Plainview Hospital, located in Plainview, N.Y., is an acute care community hospital with more than 230 beds and treats patients suffering from a wide range of medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetric and gynecological conditions. The hospital has a same-day surgery program, and an emergency department, which is a designated Level 2 trauma center featuring a chest pain emergency room that is an area where patients with cardiac complaints are immediately assessed. Plainview Hospital is also one of the sites for Don Monti Cancer Centers. It also houses Suite Beginnings that offers labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum suites. The hospital is part of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System that serves the New York counties of Nassau, Suffolk and Queens, and Staten Island, N.Y.
