Ridge Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its core curriculum includes science, reading, math, language arts, physical education and social studies. The school maintains a media center that promotes learning by providing reference and research materials. Its staff includes social workers, reading specialists, speech therapists, psychologists, diagnosticians and special education teachers. Established in 2002, Ridge Elementary School also has a parent-teacher organization that encourages involvement of parents and the public in campus activities and supports adequate laws for the care and protection of children. It additionally serves afternoon meals and provides bus transportation services. Located in Plainfield, Ill., the school is a part of Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202.
