El Dorado Department of Transportation s mission is to improve mobility throughout El Dorado County in California. Located in the county seat of Placerville, Calif., the department manages the county s roads and public transportation systems. It organizes construction efforts and provides detour routes and updates on its Web site. Special district offices under the El Dorado Department of Transportation include: road maintenance, drainage maintenance, erosion control and snow removal. The department has six deputy directors that report to the director of the El Dorado Department of Transportation.
