I recommend this business very highly. I had been told by another sewing machine repair outfit that the grinding noise I heard and their inspection of my machine indicated it could not be fixed---parts had crumbled from age and could not be replaced. So..... I took my machine to Viking this morning for a second opinion. After listening to the "grinding" sound, Bob dabbed a little grease where the bobbin goes and pronounced my machine in excellent shape---except for two parts that had been broken off by the previous "repair" man who looked at my machine and offered to take it for parts..... Bob and Pam were so kind---wouldn't take any payment even though Bob spent 15 minutes checking out my machine. I wish we had more businesses like Viking Sewing, with ethical business policies and fabulous service. They will always have my business and recommendation!

I purchased a sewing machine from Eugene Viking and from the minute I brought it home I had problems with it. When I tried to discuss my issues with the employee Pam, I was brushed off, told in so many words that the problem I was having with my machine was in my head or due to my ineptitude. ( I have been sewing for over 50 years) Never did the dealer take the time to resolve the problem, or look at the machine. Instead I was told I needed to read the manual, practice more. I was offered sewing lessons as needed at the time of sale but every attempt to actually schedule the lessons was met with reasons why that could not be done. The general attitude conveyed here was that I was an imposition and once the sale was made with their no refund policy there was a general unwillingness to help me enjoy my machine. Not just an unwillingness but downright rudeness and hostility. I will never do business with them again.
