General Info
Not your average resale boutique! WearWoof combines a carefully curated collection of new and pre-owned better women's and junior's fashion and accessories with the mission to save homeless pets! We carry favorite mall and department store brands including Ann Taylor, Free People, Loft, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Coach, Lucky Brand, Madewell, American Eagle, JJill, Halogen, Nine West, INC, Dooney & Bourke, Banana Republic, Forever 21, Vera Bradley, Chico's, Athleta and many more! Featuring casual, career and cocktail attire, handbags, costume jewelry, shoes and fashion boots at AMAZINGLY low prices, the WearWoof Shop promises a guilt-free shopping experience, because proceeds from every sale help save the lives of homeless animals at our shelters and rescues partners, including Animal Friends, the Western PA Humane Society, Hello Bully and Hope Haven Farm Sanctuary. Whether you come for the fashion, the bargains or the mission, you're certain to find what you are looking for at WearWoof. Did you know that the average woman wears only 10% of the clothes in her closet? If you are like WearWoof Founder and Executive Director, Nancy Lee, your closet is probably full of "if only" clothes: "If only I could lose this last 5 lbs, if only I had the right shoes for this dress, if only this color looked good on me!" Many of them probably still have the tags! If consignment seems like a hassle, try donating your unwanted fashion to WearWoof! You can designate any of our nearly three dozen local shelters and rescues as beneficiary of your donation, and a portion of the proceeds will go right to that shelter or rescue! Better yet, maximize the impact to your favorite shelter by getting your friends, coworkers and family together and holding a fashion drive! WearWoof is a 501c3 non-profit organization, and donations may be tax-deductible. Our mission is to end homelessness in our city, as so many other towns, cities and counties across the country have done! Unfortunately, we can't "adopt our way out of" the pet overpopulation problem. Ending pet homelessness begins with effective spay-neuter campaigns, especially for stray and community (feral) cats, whose kittens flood our already over-burdened shelters every year. Our program, the Pittsburgh Spay Neuter Project (PSNP) underwrites free and low-cost spay-neuter clinics through our shelter partners. WearWoof is a volunteer-based organization! We have the most wonderful volunteers! Many are people who love animals but found helping out in the shelter environment to be too sad or stressful. At WearWoof, volunteers help save the lives of homeless dogs and cats while enjoying a pleasant, upbeat work environment with like-minded individuals.
