Quality Rolls is among three operations in the Superior Forge & Steel Corporation. The Pittsburgh-based facility s primary product is forged hardened steel rolls for hot and cold rolling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Other products and services available include commercial ingots, specialty forging, heat treatment and machining. James C. Markovitz formed Superior Forge & Steel Corporation in 1991 and has plants in Lima, Ohio, and New Castle, Pa., in addition to the Quality Rolls location in Pittsburgh. The company s personnel has more than 250 years of combined experience in melting, forging, heat treating and machining technology. Its plants have been recipients of U.S. Steel s APEX Award, LTV s Outstanding Supplier of the Year and Certified Supplier Status by Armco L.P. Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is ISO 9001 certified.
