Product Line Overview Nitor Technologies' Protect & Reclaim Our Water, Land, and Environmental Resources, ( PROWLER ) product line consists of a patented product engineered for detecting leaks from pipelines, underground storage tanks, and fuel hydrant systems. The PROWLER system operates by detecting the vapors that migrate through soil or other media, from the leak source to a patented sensor tube, which captures a sample of the vapors through diffusion. One vital function of the product is providing detection of very small leaks ( less than or equal to 0.04 gallons/hour ) while monitoring pipelines up to 10 miles in length with a single detection unit. A second function of the system is the "emergency response" feature, which pumps continuously to allow detection of leaks when they occur. In this function, vapors have less time to diffuse into the sensor tube so the minimum size of the leak that can be detected is larger. Typically, this function is used to detect larger type leaks. The two features combine to achieve both an emergency response and a small leak-detection capability.
