Established in 1955, Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission offers education, information, support and outreach programs. It publishes housing-related publications and deals in racial discrimination issues. The commission provides employment, real estate and accommodation services. Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission also offers assistance in the enforcement of state laws. The commission investigates complaints related to discrimination in employment, housing and businesses filed under the Federal Fair Housing Act. Its legal issues include prehearing investigations, public hearings, appeals and motions. Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission works in collaboration with advisory councils and human relations commissions. It maintains one of its locations in Pittsburgh.
