The Pittsburg Adult Education Center provides a range of programs that support adults in achieving various educational goals, including academic, vocational and lifelong learning. It offers a variety of occupational education programs in automobile repair, cosmetology apprenticeship, massage therapy, and medical transcription, coding and billing. The center also provides instruction in computer repair, nursing care, home health aide, cooking, pharmacy and phlebotomy. The Pittsburg Adult Education Center offers academic counseling and support services for students and vocational rehabilitation training programs for injured workers. Through its Workability Program and partnerships with the California Department of Rehabilitation, it provides job placement assistance services to people with disabilities. Additionally, the center conducts free workshop on various topics, such as job search, resume writing, and job retention and interviewing skills. The Pittsburg Adult Education Center maintains a location in Pittsburg, Calif.
