I used to consider this to be a 4 star hardware store, but when a new employee double charged me, then the owner failed to refund the double charge, I can no longer recommend the store. I have spent hundreds of dollars over the years at this store on small repairs for my mountain cabin getaway, but because of $7.27, I will never again step foot into the place. I even provided the owner with a photocopy of my statement, and every month when coming back to the cabin, I made an effort to check on the status of the refund. Several month later I realized I was never going to be refunded the over charge so I was forced to dispute the double charge with my credit card company to finally get the mistake corrected. If only the owner would have been more receptive to either providing me with a store credit, or actually refunding the double charge, then I'd continue using and recommending his place. Unfortunately his poor customer service practices has forced me to simply drive to Pioneer Hardware (next to the post office). Of course, that's only like another mile or so down the road. So far, Pioneer Hardware has not double charged me, or treated me poorly like the owner of Buckhorn Plaza Hardware has.
