Founded in 1906, Louisiana College is a private, Baptist coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences located in Pineville, La. It has a more than 80-acre campus with academic and residential buildings. It offers bachelor s degrees in arts, music, science, nursing, social work and general studies. Louisiana College also offers financial aid and private scholarships. The college offers a wide range of majors, minors and preprofessional programs. Its library has more than 135,000 volumes with a wide range of government documents. It also provides disability services that include accommodation and special counseling for disabled students. It has business, religious studies, visual and performing arts, mathematics, computer science, humanities, history, political science and education divisions. The college s education division provides athletic training, and kindergarten, elementary, secondary, health, physical and special education programs. Louisiana College is approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
