Before the business, Id say that wasnt exactly the most exemplary person in the world. I did a few things here and there to get by, from the typical stuff like retail and food, to warehouse and factory work. I dont think someone would take a look at my life and say, wow, I want to go where youre going. Now I applied to the ad which mentioned entry level management, which didnt ask for much experience necessary. I figured, eh, why not. I could tell already when I walked in the door that something about this place was different; I couldnt put my finger on it. The first interview was easy enough, enough that got me into the second interview. Now I had to work my way up like in a typical job, but there is no glass ceiling. Once I was done, I would be charge of my own business, a distribution center that wholesales rendition cologne and perfume.Now Ive become the person that people say That person is going places. I want to be where youre at. I gotta say, that's cool.

I applied to the ad not knowing exactly what I got myself into. But once I got in, I got something a little more than what I expected. I learned how to be a leader. I was a little jaded at first when they said that they were going to make me into a boss. I mean, all the jobs Ive been to, the boss for most part just barked out orders. Some were cool, others not so. What I got out of this company was this: you become a leader. Now theres a difference between being a leader vs just being a boss, which most people dont pick up on, but you know which one is which without explanation. I learned that being a leader, its not about what you do for yourself, its what they can teach others to do. Its about learning how to do something for yourself, then teaching someone else how to do it. In order to be a good leader, I had to be a good follower. The branch managers dont just give orders just for the sake of it. They are successful people for a reason.
