The Art Institute of Phoenix enrolled its first class of students in January 1996. Its programs include associate s and bachelor's degrees in a wide variety of design, media arts and culinary arts programs that are offered year-round. The Art Institute of Phoenix is one of The Art Institutes, a national group of 32 education institutions located in major cities throughout North America. The parent company, Education Management Corporation, is one of the country s largest providers of private post-secondary education. The Art Institute of Phoenix s enrolled more than 1,200 students in 2003. It offers bachelor s degree in advertising, culinary arts, digital media, media production, fashion marketing, game art and design, graphic design, interactive media design, interior design, media arts and animation, visual and game programming and visual effects and motion graphics. It offers diplomas in the art of cooking, baking and pastry. The Art Institute of Phoenix also offers an associate s degree in culinary arts and graphic design.
