My wife and I took my 70 year old mom here because she was interested in investing in gold. BIG MISTAKE!!! They advised us that gold bullion was in danger of being confiscated by the government and the only safe gold investment was rare coins which they convinced us to buy at vastly overpriced rates. then when we realized what they had done (three days later) they told us ''sorry, NO REFUNDS''. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! Don't give your money to these crooks.

we should have done our homework, but they charged us almost 2 times more than what the coin could have been purchased for. We lost at this point 50% of our IRA s value due to their OVERCHARGINGDo not buy from them til you do your homework, first. Better yet, but from someone else

We stopped at Republic Monetary to check on their commission prices for gold. It was $70 over spot. In the same building is American Precious Metals who charged $50 over spot for the same investments. John did a great job of educating us and had what we wanted.
This is not the only coin company the owner has been involved with. The last one cost some of his clients 1.5 million dollars, most of which he never paid back. The Owner touts that he has been in business for 30 years, but Republic Monetary has only been here for one year. Some of the other years were spent with failed companies which lost millions of dollars in clients money. He list his company as a member with PCGS which he is not. After talking to a number of precious metals companies, i decided to go with republic monetary exchange. they don't just bring on a bunch of sales people to force gold down your throat.they did an excellent job of explaining my different options and, unlike some of the other companies, not trying to force me to buy a particular type of coin. i worked with james and grace and i would highly recommend both of them to family and friends due to their knowledge and professionalism.great experience. good people.
