General Info
The City of Phoenix Head Start Program is administered by the education division of the Human Services Department. Established in 1965, the program offers child and family development services to more than 50,000 families. It serves over 3,000 children in the areas of education and health and nutrition. The City of Phoenix Head Start Program provides case management, crisis intervention and emergency assistance solutions to families. The program also offers services to children with disabilities and other special needs. The City of Phoenix Head Start Program conducts vision, hearing and dental tests for children, as well as provides immunization services.
