Palm Lane Elementary School, located in Phoenix, is a public school that provides academic education to students in grades kindergarten through six. The school emphasizes on phonic awareness, active learning, reading, writing and communication skills. It offers the Stanford Achievement Test preparation classes and all students are assessed throughout the year in reading with the Running Records and Developmental Reading Assessments program. Additionally, the school organizes various extracurricular activities, such as dance, instrumental music, intramurals, chorus and band. It also offers a student council and various organizations, and organizes science fairs and after school programs. Palm Lane Elementary School has a library that provides a large collection of curriculum books and access to the Internet. The school also offers academic counseling and special education. It enrolls more than 900 students and is a part of the Cartwright Elementary School District.
