Arizona Industries for the Blind provides employment and training opportunities for individuals suffering from visual impairments. It operates through administrative, accounting, digital data scan, distribution, information technology, production and rehabilitation services divisions. The agency provides storage, packaging and distribution services for lighting products and military insignia items. Arizona Industries for the Blind also provides office and cleaning supplies, tools, military uniforms and other specialty items to military personnel and federal government entities. In addition, the agency provides vocational and psychological evaluation for all vocational rehabilitation clients. It operates under the Javits-Wagner-O'Day, which is a federal procurement program that employs more than 40,000 people suffering from multiple disabilities. Arizona Industries for the Blind has been operational since 1952 and is located in Phoenix.
