STAY AWAY from this shop! SCAM, dishonest rip off!
I took my wife's 2002 Ford Taurus to these guys to have the engine rebuilt.
I was quoted on the phone $1795 which after tearing down the engine ballooned to a staggering $4200. Their explanation was that in order to issue 5 yr warranty they had to change engine neighboring parts. They listed those parts on the sign up sheet, which I assumed have to be all installed new according to the price.
When I went to pick up the car at the first time I found grounds not hooked up, items loose, wiring not secured. I left it with them for another day and was told everything will be checked and rechecked. The next day I came with my wife to pick the car up, but when looked it over again and I immediately found many issues: the battery cables loose, transmission cables were not secured, hose was not bolted.
Now lets go over the things they charged me for and there was no evidence that they actually were changed.
1. Serpentine belt listed for $95 was not changed until I pointed it out that the belt was the old one,
2. New radiator $275, but when I looked at it I found road debris in the cooling fins as if it had been in service for years (as evidence they provided the initial one which I personally changed 2 yr ago, on which the shop deliberately broke the line using the wrong tool),
3. Flywheel (flex plate) $175, they had left the dust shield off that covers the flywheel, which I could plainly see was a rusted old flywheel. When I called and asked about it they said they got it from the junkyard, Really??? WOW a new one is only $60.
4. 6 Spark plugs for $60, they put Autolite brand plugs, these plugs sell for $12 for a set of six.
5. $225 for 2 radiator hoses that they said had to come from Ford dealer. It turned out the they installed Dayton aftermarket hoses not Motorcraft (this is important because they charged me for Motorcraft which are more expensive.
Moreover, they broke passenger door foam plastic plate, did not clean after themselves, the engine and car seats are covered in grease and grime.

How many people do they send down the road in unsafe vehicles??? It not for me being mechanically inclined, my wife as a simple trusting customer could drive away in unsafe car and easily get into accident. These guys really need to be put out business!!!
