Carson Palmer is a professional quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL. Palmer attended the University of Southern California where he played on the Trojans football team from 1999-2002. Palmer originally was the backup quarterback at USC, but when Mike Van Raaphorst proved to be ineffective, Palmer received the starting job. In 2002, Palmer was the Heisman Trophy winner and the first Trojan quarterback to be honored with it.
