The Herbert Kieckhefer Branch is a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, which is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 33,000 boys and girls annually. It offers character and leadership development, health and skills training, and after-school and outreach programs for youths. The organization s recreational program includes kickball, softball, basketball and soccer. It also conducts classes in photography, music, dance and fine arts. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix provides homework assistance, tutoring and mentoring services. Its outreach program includes classes on sexual diseases and pregnancy prevention. The organization also operates a dental clinic that provides oral examinations and emergency treatment services.
