Located in Phoenix, Barry Goldwater High School is governed by the Deer Valley Unified School District. The school offers a variety of programs and services to students and their families in northwest Phoenix. It serves a student population of nearly 2,400 with a trained staff of teachers, counselors and administrators. Barry Goldwater High School offers classes in various subjects, including career and technical education, fine arts, math, language arts, physical education, reading, social studies, speech and world languages. The school also offers a variety of special programs, such as international baccalaureate, honors programs, advanced placement, school to career, community school programs and night classes. It organizes several sporting activities, including golf, football, volleyball, swimming, basketball, soccer, wrestling, tennis and cross country.
