I wrote the previous 2 star review after a testy exchange with the company, but I love the Phoenix sculpture so much and my friends do too, so I called AZ Gifts back to try to fix some of the kinks in the ordering and delivery system so my friends wouldn't experience the same issues when they order theirs. They were very receptive this time and have made changes to remedy the confusion and make the shipping and delivery process more transparent.

We bought a beautiful glass phoenix that we absolutely love, but we were appalled at the lack of customer service. Our credit card was charged immediately (for a large amount), but we were not given an estimate of the delivery date for almost a month. Emails were NOT responded to promptly. Then the deliver date was changed, and they tried to change it again. The owner seemed quite surprised that as a woman, I wasn't at home all the time ready to accept delivery. Sir, it's the 21st century and I have much better things to do than sit at home all day for 3 days in a row waiting for you! Another issue is that they only deliver locally, but they don't tell you that they can't ship these items until AFTER you purchase them on the website (even though the website calculates shipping), then they charge you hundreds of dollars extra.

I was looking for small favors that were made in Arizona for a corporate event being held in Scottsdale for the guests to take home with them and the mini-cactus magnets were absolutely perfect! The people on the phone worked around our budget and delivered right on time.
