- The Division of Aging and Adult Services is a part of the Department of Economic Security (DES), which is responsible for promoting the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency of children, adults and families in Arizona. The division supports and enhances the abilities of disabled individuals and senior citizens. The Division of Aging and Adult Services is responsible for promoting opportunities for employment, life-long learning and civic engagement. It develops and administers the state s plan on aging that includes planning, policy development, coordination, priority setting and evaluation. The division administers a nutrition services incentive program and manages an independent living supports unit. It also offers adult protective solutions.
