Provided by YP.comFolks, don't walk-run from this AAMCO Mayvale location. Horrible customer communication, constant promises broken, "finding" broken parts outside of the original estimate or problem, charging storage fees, like I said- RUN!

Provided by YP.comI took my mother-in-laws car to AAMCO for a head gasket job. The Manager/Owner David Banks was TERRIBLE with communication. I had to call him so many times to get an update on the car. David Banks was the person I spoke to throughout the whole repair process and it was terrible. He always told me "Let me find out, I will give you a call back within the hour", and then I wouldn't hear from him until I called him back hours or days later to get an update. The whole job consisted of a head gasket job, but David called and informed me that the radiator was cracked and that it plus the radiator fan needed to be replaced. He replaced those, but when I picked up my car, there was still oil leaking, and we weren't told about it. We discovered that ourselves just by inspecting the vehicle. There was also a Check Engine light, and I was pretty upset that it went unnoticed also. We had to bring that up to him as well. He checked it out, told me it was simply a "Fan Error" and that the electrician would need to take a look at it but that he wouldn't be in until tomorrow. My mother-in-law wasn't able to bring the vehicle back for some time due to health issues, and I was unable to do so myself, until about a month after the car was given back. Now, David Banks states that there are 2 codes, a fan error and a catalytic converter error, and that it is going to be at a minimum of $300 to fix, because they need to replace the fan. When I confronted him about it, on HIS paperwork he doesn't even show he replaced the radiator, nor the fan and he for sure isn't going to replace them for free. I am going to find all of my paperwork and double check but I am super upset, but on top of that i feel that David Banks is a LIAR, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO THIS AAMCO!!!! I would give 0 stars if I was able to.

Provided by YPmobileTook my car in and was told it would probably be done by that evening. Called and was told maybe tomorrow. Two more days with absolutely no communication from them. Finally I call and they tell me its done almost 4 days later. They tell me I must bring it back after 200 miles to get it inspected in order to validate the warranty. So I bring it in at 8:15 am and its now 4:30 pm and I still don't have my car. I call only to find out that the seal didn't seat properly and my transmission was leaking. How hard would it have been in this entire experience to call me and tell me what was going on! This place NEVER ONCE CALLED ME THRU THIS ENTIRE PROCESS. They told me repeatedly just an hour or two longer which was a blatant lie. Who hires these people. AAMCO youhave poor business skills and your employees lack communication skills. Why not just hire monkeys,..at least they would make me smile! Absolutely not impressed with this place.

Provided by YP.comWent to Aamco to have my car fixed. Scott and the Aamco team were great. They were friendly and gave me a fair price. My car works great and I'll definitely be returning to Aamco with any of my other car needs.
