Let me start by saying my home was built in 1740 and I would not trust the old pine plank floors to just anyone. I had interviewed many flooring restoration companies who told me that they could revitalize the old wood.

I did some checking around and found a local family run business who specializes in old wood floor finishing. I found a gem, Tran's Hardwood Floor Co in Northeast Philadelphia. Mr Tran came out and gave me his professional assessment. He was prompt, extremely courteous and I got the sense that he really cared about the integrity of this old wood. He was not just trying to sell me his services.

As we were not ready to have the job done right away, we arranged to have a two week notice prior to beginning work. He stayed in touch with me during the time leading up to the job.

When it was time, Mr. Tran and his company were prompt, clean and careful. I took photos of the floors just after the sanding and again after the finish. We agreed that the floors were to be left in their natural state and only sealed for protection.

The amazing color of the old pine showed me the most amazing floors I could have imagined. Photos cannot capture the actual beauty and craftsmanship of Mr. Tran's work. I will post them so you can have an idea.

I thought my 140 year old wood floors in my historic house were ruined. They looked so bad that people who saw them said I should just carpet over them because they were awful and could not be saved. Tran told me who could fix them and they would look very nice. That was a huge understatement. I don't know what kind of magical gift Tran possesses but my floors came out so beautiful I actually cried. People think that I replaced the old floor with brand new floors and when I tell them they are the same floors they do not believe me. I do not believe any one else could have made my floors look so beautiful. He really cares about the customer and the quality of his work and it shows. His work speaks for itself but if I had the money I would put up a billboard with my before and after pictures to show just how great he is. Thanks Tran for saving a piece of history.

Tran's hardwood floors did an excellent job. The floors in my historic home were covered in orange paint. Tran removed all the paint an restored them beautifully and left the house dust free. I would recommend him and his crew to anyone.

Tran's Hardwood Floor Company did a great job in refinishing the floors in my Philadelphia Center City condo. Completed the job (about 1000sq ft) in two days, and they left the unit very clean after finishing. I'm completely satisfied with the their work and would use them again without question.

These guys are great. They got us out of a saga. We hired someone else to redo our wood floor (sand and stain). He told us the job would take only a few days and the floor would look like new afterward. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After a week the floor looked terrible. So we contacted Tran's Hardwood floor. The minute Mr. Tran saw the floor, he told us our guy did not know what he was doing. He said he could fix it. Tran and his team took only two days to get our floor back as new. They were on time and kept a clean working environment. Now our floor is even, smooth with a great finish. My wife is very please with the work. I would recommend him to anyone and know he will do a wonderful job.

We were impressed and very happy with Tran's workmanship and work ethic. His crew worked very quickly, and were respectful of our wishes. They started early, and finished late in the day in order to finish quickly and get us back in the house. Tran installed new unfinished floors, and also refinished existing wood floors in our home. All I can say is WOW! I needed my floors refinished and I didn't know where to go. Mr. Tran came highly recommended and for very good reason. His work is incredible. My floors are 50 years old and they look like they are brand new now. There were spots that were water damaged ( boards buckling) and a few stains from pets. You can't even tell that they were there. Tran's services were outstanding and very professional. From carpet removal, sanding, and finishing it was a great experience. Start to finish Tran's workers were on time and always willing to take time to answer questions. All the work was done in a timely fashion and at a very reasonable price.
