[Relaxing Swedish] This is the most common style of massage consisting of gliding, kneading, and percussive techniques. This style is recommended for the general population that is seeking stress-relief without any need for muscular adjustments. [Clinical Therapeutic Massage] The Therapeutic Massage is absolutely essential for the client suffering from any type of muscular dysfunctions or pain. A therapeutic massage session entails a thorough assessment of the client's posture and medical history, and will often hone in on a few targeted locations to address a particular need. [Deep-Tissue] A fusion of the Swedish and Therapeutic massage styles, Deep Tissue allows for specific target treatment in the context of a deep full-body massage. This style is recommended for those that need therapeutic bodywork, while desiring full-body treatment. [Restorative Myofascial Release] Fascia is the connective tissue that runs through almost every muscle and bone in the body. It is the sheath that provides the structure and integrity of our body's shape. Myofascial adhesions can occur for a variety of reasons including: over-exhersion, poor posture, and disuse. Myofascial release is a delicate, slow process that is recommended as treatment for pain with clients that are reluctant to receive deep treatment for a variety of reasons: including fibromyalgia and other type of hypersensitivities, or personal preference. [Prenatal Massage] An essential treatment for the expecting mother. [Nurturing Esalen-Style] Esalen is a technique that was developed in California consisting of long free-flowing full-body strokes. Esalen is recommended for the adventerous client in need of emotional relief and spiritual comfort. [Detoxifying Manual Lymph Drainage] Lymph is our body's most powerful filter, working in conjunction with the spleen, thymus, and liver, to remove toxins from circulation. Manual lymphatic drainage is a specific process of draining the lymphatic system in order to detoxify the body. Note: Manual lymphatic drainage is a very specific process used primarily for cancer patients.
