- Founded in 1932 as Marriage Council of Philadelphia, the Council for Relationships is a nonprofit counseling, educational and research center. It offers educational programs on anger management, couple communications and relationship skills development. The organization also offers sex and marital therapies, as well as anxiety, depression and divorce-related consulting services. Additionally, it provides addiction, infertility and adoption counseling services. The organization runs several gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender programs. The Council for Relationships offers spiritual, psychological, and posttraumatic stress disorder and chronic illness treatment services, as well as eye movement desensitization therapy.
