Please Please please do not donate your time or money to this corporation. Specifically their education division. They are suppose to provide tutoring and after school care as well as summer camp. Congresso is a community staple in the hispanic urban neighborhood of north philly and are very well known to provide the community with eductional resources and work support but lately they have been lacking to do so , well. As a teacher I have seen their employees of the after school program and summer camp leave children unsupervised and not help them with homework or academics. Employees are on their cell phones while students are vandalizing teachers personal property that they have purchased. They vandalize the beautiful classroom that are lent to them to use by the school that your children are taught in during the day. Not taking any responsibility for their lack of supervision , responsibility and classroom management. I have been a victim of their classroom vandalism . As a professional teacher who has worked in the same building as this corporation I strongly advise that you do NOT use their services for your child. You will be left very disappointed and your child possibly hurt and definitely uneducated. They need to work on their hiring process for these programs. The director is horrible and the employees are not trained. They need to be shut down before a child is hurt.
