Chestnut Hill College, founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1924, is an independent, coeducational Catholic institution. It offers academic programs in the areas of undergraduate, graduate and continuing studies. Located in Philadelphia, the college offers bachelor s and master s degrees in various subjects, such as education, health care, holistic spirituality, science, arts, music, mathematical science, foreign language, computer science and technology. It also offers an American Psychological Association accredited Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Additionally, it provides state certification and professional development programs. The Chestnut Hill College s facilities include a library, gymnasium, softball field, indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and lacrosse and soccer fields. Its halls are equipped with classrooms, science labs, offices, residence facilities, observatory and a planetarium. Its library offers a collection of more than 130,000 books and over 400 subscriptions to periodicals and scholarly research databases.
