I went there for a little fun with a friend. I thought if we just made it past the crack heads out front we'd be ok. I paid 20 for an hour, went to the room and my lady went to the bathroom down the hall. On my way to the room there was a fowl oder. While in the room waiting on her I took in my surroundings. There was dirty curtains, a very wobbly table with cigarette burns covering it. Stains on the sheets and it was extremely cold in the room.I stood in the middle of the floor; careful not touching anything, thinking of how I'd be able to have fun without touching anything. I walked out the room and back to the front desk to ask the manager his policy on refunds. He got very upset and began cursing at me. Between his verbal attack he asked why I wanted a refund. I told him because the place is disgusting. He continued cursing me out. My date came out of the bathroom complaining about the unsanitary conditions. I told him that he didn't have to speak to me that way for I was only asking a question. He continued cursing me out. He began to walk towards me. I felt he was going to attack me so we just left assuming he doesn't give refunds. Dont go there.. I made it out of there in one piece. Im sure there's several others that wasn't as lucky.I saw a few positive reviews of this place. Im sure they are written by someone that has an interest in the business.

My husband and I we're in Philadelphia, PA visiting friends and needed a place to stay for a few days that was inexpensive but clean. Our friends recommended the Carlyle Hotel. We found that the Carlyle Hotel was near city hall and center city. We were close to nice restaurants and transportation to see sights. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice, the rooms were very inexpensive. We had a room with a bathroom and cable tv for $60.00 per day. For our needs the hotel was fine, we had a great time in Philadelphia. Mark. and Judy Conway

0 stars. My husband went to book the hotel for an overnight in Pa after we went to the casino, sugar house. The hotel has no bathroom in the room. You have use the restrooms outside which completely filthy and looked like a shack. When we first went in to key our hotel keys the man escorted us to our room, them told us he had to take the keys back downstairs because people to leave it. Which completely weird to me because now I have to if I leave the room to go her something outside I would have to go her the keys, to open the door and leave room unattended while I go downstairs to drop key and come back upstairs. I found it so bizarre and I was so uncomfortable I told my husband lets go get a refund and get another hotel somewhere else. He gave us the refund because I only stayed for about one minute. I don't recommend the hotel and I give it a zero rating.
