The basketball staff and referees have really mistreated the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church (BMBC) family. We joined the basketball league for the 2010-11 season as a positive reinforcement for our young people. We've been met with blatant prejudice, racism, and much cheating. Everything we do is wrong.......from cheerleaders in the wrong section, can't use this room, can't stand here or there, etc. As a team, we get all the fouls and the other teams we've played only get a couple of fouls, if any. The other teams go to the free throw line all night, but our team has to take the ball out where ever we were fouled. We may go to the free throw line in the last minutes of the final quarter. We've had to endure harsh fouls inflicted on us (busted lips, jabbed in the eye, knocked to the floor and head injuries encountered). But yet, the other team gets to go to the free throw line to gain extra points? WOW!!!! And this is supposed to be a Christian league and atmosphere?NO WAY
