He is a Diplomat of the prestigious National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Geraghty graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 1991 and was President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Chicago in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Geraghty has conducted research on autologous fibrin tissue adhesives and post-op pain control in Head & Neck Surgery. He has published papers in the Annals of Otolaryngology, Rhinology and Laryngology. Dr. Geraghty is an Asst. Clinical Professor with the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Peoria. Dr. Geraghty practices general adult and pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT) with a special interest in cancers and tumors of the head & neck and sleep disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, nasal and sinus disease and the use of minimally invasive sinus surgery. In fact Dr. Geraghty was one of the first doctors in the Midwest to be certified in the use of minimally invasive Balloon Sinuplasty.
- Family PracticeJamie is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the State of Illinois. Jamie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. She was awarded a Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant Studies degree from Midwestern University in 2012. Prior to her employment with Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group, Jamie gained valuable clinical experience through her position as a physician assistant with UnityPoint Methodist Family Practice, Pekin. Jamie works closely with each of our ENT physicians in providing outstanding clinical patient care.

- Internal MedicineDr. Julie C. Klemens earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Illinois in 1996. Dr. Klemens Doctor of Medicine degree was awarded in 2000 from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an Allergy and Immunology Fellowship in a joint program with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Klemens is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Klemens is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Klemens welcomes both pediatric and adult patients to her clinic.

- OtolaryngologyDr. Johnson is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Dr. Johnson received his Medical Degree also from the University of Michigan in 2005 and he completed his residency at the University of Chicago, Department of Surgery, Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery Section in 2010. Prior to joining Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group, Dr. Johnson practiced in Ohio, simultaneously treating patients at St. Lukes Hospital, Defiance Regional Medical Center, Flower Hospital, and Toledo Children’s Hospital. Dr. Johnson practices general adult and pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT).

- EczemaThese treatments can be self-administered and do not necessarily need to be based on an accurate diagnosis. Examples include the use of over-the-counter medications such as antihistamine creams and steroid creams for eczema and antihistamine pills for nasal symptoms that include rhinitis. More serious conditions can be treated with inhalers for asthma, skin creams for eczema, and auto-injectors for anaphylaxis resulting from, among other causes, insect bites, without having identified whether the condition is truly an allergy.

With these opportunities comes risks with walking on uneven surfaces such as grassy yards and potential difficulty completing yard work or gardening tasks.
