If I could have given no stars, then that is what I would have chosen.Niether Frandy (behavioral specialst),dr. Jeff Jones,or dr. Mcmanus, have an ounce of compassion or understanding regarding chronic pain sufferers. They do not care about your history, years of treatment you've recieved from your primary care physician, what treatments have already been tried,or what medication and the dosages of those medications that have worked for you,nor how many years you've led a functional life on those same medications or dosages. Each time they all three will reply "that's interesting",that's if they reply to what you've tried to tell them at all.Except Dr.Mcmannus-the first appt. with him, when my husband asked "what if the way you want to handle this, doesnt work" and he repied "I'm doing this",very indignantly with nothing further to say or allow to be discussed about. His male nurse just took the paper right out from under my pen while filling out my family history. When I told him there was very important cardiac family history of both my parents and maternal grandparents that they needed to know,he replied "that's okay,we don't need it,you've filled out enough" They're only touting methadone while forcing everyone off of thier medications that have been the only thing that has given them any kind of functional life.Even when I told them the methadone was giving me heart palpatations which,my history shows I have a sensitivity to this and many medications have caused unrelenting, dangerous heart palpitations,I was ignored and once again "that's interesting" from Dr. Jeff Jones while handing me yet another script for it.I have no history of abusing my medications and it's not right that want to do this to everyone because of all o the people who have and that have overdosed, which is what they're preaching while at the same time preaching "hyperalgesia" and saying pain medications make people have more pain and need more&more medication to treat thier pain.If this were true,I wouldnt have been on the same two pain medications for the last three plus years sucessfully after years of trying trial & error.I have an appt. tomorrow which I will keep but after that I will not be returning ever again. There is no point, they've reduced me to being bedridden just as I was for years before seeking help.
