      Founded in 1999, the Midwest Orthopaedic Center is one of the leading orthopedic care facilities in Illinois. It has a staff of more than 100 health care professionals that provides diagnostic, rehabilitative and preventive care services. The center s more than 28,000-square-foot rehabilitation department specializes in physical and occupational therapies. It operates sports enhancement programs to offer strength training and ground-based plyometrics to improve the performance of athletes. The Midwest Orthopaedic Center features the Sportsmetrics Techniques and Training, which is an injury prevention jump training program to reduce the risk of serious knee injuries. The center provides magnetic resonance imaging, direct radiography and dual energy X-ray absorptiometry for osteoporosis diagnosis. It also specializes in ligament, knee and hip reconstruction, traumatology, arthroscopy, meniscus transplantation, fracture care and pediatric spine surgery. The center additionally offers aquatic and pool therapies. The Midwest Orthopaedic Center maintains a location in Peoria, Ill.
