      Illinois Lung Institute, formerly known as Peoria Pulmonary Associates, is a health care center that offers treatment for lung diseases and sleep disorders. It also offers critical care and inpatient services. The center provides treatment for pulmonary diseases, such as emphysema, asthma and bronchitis. Illinois Lung Institute also treats lung cancer and pneumonia. The center additionally offers treatment for narcolepsy, a neurological disorder that causes extreme daytime drowsiness, weak or limp muscles and sleep paralysis. It provides treatment for narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, sleep apnea and insomnia. The center offers dietary instructions and exercise that help patients develop good sleep hygiene. Illinois Lung Institute offers stimulus control, cognitive and sleep restriction therapy services for patients who are suffering from insomnia. The center maintains one of its locations in Peoria, Ill.
