Board certified in general surgery, Dr. Eric Cox received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield and completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. Dr. Cox's practice runs the breadth of general surgery providing services ranging from cancer care to hernia repairs. Dr. Cox makes it a priority to get to know the patient and ensure that all of their questions have been answered and they understand the steps for their care plan.“Having patients come back and see you in the office after they’ve recovered and are doing well, seeing that turnaround, is very gratifying," says Dr. Cox.Dr. Cox is originally from Peoria and feels that gives him an advantage.
