As a parent and an employee of Peoria Christian Middle School I wanted to correct a misconception regarding admission to PCS. On the web site shown above anyone can visit and see the actual admission policies. Below is a direct quote from the admissions page regarding our criteria on faith. I pray that this information would help anyone looking for quality Christian education.Faith CriteriaBecause Peoria Christian School regards its mission as supporting the Christian home and church by preparing students to lead Christ-like lives through a Biblical approach to education, one custodial parent (preferably both) must to be a born-again believer. In other words, it is our requirement that at least one of the custodial parents has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. We also ask that the custodial family be actively living out their faith in a Bible-believing church.
because she had never been to a church before I was shocked that a so called christian school would turn a child away who was wainting to learn about Christ. When I was growing up Christians wanted to help not Christians get to know Jesus so they could become a christian sadly this is not the case at this 'Christian" school. Someone need to let the know that being a Christian means being like Christ and Jesus would never turn away a child because of her back ground.Just to let you know she is in a public school and doing very well she gets A's and B's and her conduct is outstanding. She does know Jesus now and loves him very much no thanks to this "Christian" school.
