      About Serenity Medical Spa Dr. Sharon Gertzman is a board certified physician who has devoted the past 11 years of her career to the practice of minimally invasive aesthetic medicine, including lasers, injectables and skincare. Her background in primary care medicine gives her the ability to communicate with and educate her patients in a manner not commonly seen in physicians of other specialties. Dr. Gertzman prides herself on her knowledge and training in the procedures she performs. She offers complimentary consultations to all patients so that she can listen to their desired goals and formulate a personalized treatment plan for those goals to be reached. Dr. Gertzman is a member of many medical societies including the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Gertzman earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Gertzman continues her training regularly and has attained the highest levels of training from the Aesthetic Enhancement Institute, Lumenis Light Science, Sciton, Candela and Palomar Corporations She has also completed apprenticeships in cosmetic eye lifts ( blepharoplasty ), ProLipo, Smart Lipo and injectable fillers. Recently Dr Gertzman has co-authored a textbook for physicians on the use of Botox Cosmetic. Lauren Perrella graduated in 2001 from the Rizzieri Aveda School for Beauty and Wellness with a degree in Aesthetics. Upon graduating, Lauren attended an aesthetics program in Baden, Germany. There she expanded her skin care skills and acquired a European approach to skin care and facial massage. Lauren has also furthered her education by receiving certification in several fields, including: Chinese diagnosis of the skin, and the art of mineral make-up by Colorescience. Lauren has also had training with several different skin care and make-up lines through her experience working at different style spas which include: The Spa at the Waldorff Astoria in Manhattan, and Bluemercury in Princeton, NJ. Lauren is very happy and excited to be a part of Dr. Gertzman's practice at Serenity Medical Spa. Serenity Medical Spa gives her the tools to better every client's skin care treatments and daily routines, so that they can obtain healthy and beautiful skin. By working at Serenity Medical Spa, Lauren hopes to further her education in skin care and help improve the quality of her clients skin from the inside out.
