This Dr. Acqua does not deserve even one star, although I had to give him one as this is a requirement of this site. If u r disabled and need a pain management physician, u do NOT want to go to this office. This doctor will only prescribe one of two medications and the absolute lowest amount at that. So if u have been disabled for quite some time and have been taking a medication that is greater than 5 ml, he will NOT prescribe it. AND ~ he refuses to give your money back! I had given this office all of my information prior to my appointment and was told that they would be more than happy to have me as a new patient. This is a brand new doctor in the area and he knows nothing about pain management. Everything that he stated to me was not true. I have been disabled 20+ years and I am very familiar with pain management and how this area of medicine is handled. He did not have a nurse in the office with me and he refers to body parts as "boobs," etc. I have contacted the DEA so hopefully this matter will be taken care of before any other patients are treated the way I was with a witness of my own in the office. He also told me himself that he is not qualified to handle pain management.
