My son recently was at Boy Scout Camp and had a issue with dysentery. He was taken to the Payson Medical Center. They proceeded to do some tests that all came out negative. They billed my insurance over 4500 dollars for a single visit. I was stunned. I asked my insurance to report them for fraud but they refused. I couldn't believe it. I contacted the doctor to find out why the tests cost over 2300 dollars and he enver returned my call. They attempted to collect over a 1000 dollars from me and I told them I would pay after the doctor returned my call. He never did. This is a good example of a industry that has no cost controls. I explained to my son that I could have bought him a nice used car for what that hospital charged us. If I could have given a negative start rating for this facility and their staff I would have.
