The company carries out its activities through its subsidiary. It is an independent midstream energy company engaged in gathering transmission, processing and marketing of natural gas and natural gas liquids or NGL s. The company s combined midstream assets consist of 3,300 miles of natural gas and transmission pipelines, nine natural gas processing plants and three fractionators that are located in two primary regions: north Texas and Louisiana. In 2009, Crosstex Energy L.P. acquired Intracoastal Pipeline, breaking the lease agreement between the two companies.
