School 20 serves students in kindergarten through grade eight. Its educational programs include instruction in science and social studies. The school also offers athletic programs that include basketball and cheerleading. It provides special education, music, art and computer science classes. School 20 features a computer laboratory equipped with a scanner, projector, digital cameras, laser network printers and more than 20 computers. The school has a library that stocks research and reading materials. In addition, it organizes Halloween and holiday parties. School 20 operates a home-school council. It offers the English as a Second Language program. The school is a part of Paterson Public Schools, which offers educational services for more than 30,000 students and governs over 50 schools.
