  This method involves the use of a specialized hand piece and cannula tip connected to an ultra-high-frequency sound wave generator. Vibrations above the range of human hearing (ultrasound) are transmitted to the cannula tip, and fat in the areas of treatment is liquefied and emulsified by bursting of the cell membranes. A separate cannula and low-pressure vacuum are then used to remove the liquefied fat emulsion. This technique is also applied in difficult or secondary cases, but has somewhat greater associated risks.
• Mammography
  Your surgeon suggests for you to get breast examinations at no cost from our office every 6 to 12 months. Continue breast self-examinations monthly, and have mammograms as recommended by your gynecologist or personal physician, generally yearly after age 40. We do request that you forward copies of all your mammography results to our office.

  Originally from Orange County, he attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree in Physiological Sciences before pursuing medical studies at the Baqai Medical College in Pakistan where he finished in the top 5% of his graduating class. Returning to the states for residency, Dr. Ahmed completed the general surgery program at Texas Tech before continuing his postgraduate training at the prestigious Kleinert Institute where he completed their fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery.

  A: Most implants last for 10 to 15 years. Any type of breast implant is subject to wear and tear and deterioration due to aging over time. Like a heart valve or artificial joint replacement, they are not to be expected to last forever. The implants are covered by a manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects, and most companies provide financial assistance for re-operation and implant replacement at no charge in the event of implant failure. However, you may incur other financial costs which are not covered.

• Brow Lift
  A: If excessive upper eyelid skin and a drooping lateral brow is the reason for the impairment of your vision, blepharoplasty alone will not improve your peripheral vision, a combination of the brow lift and upper blepharoplasty will be required.
• Eyelid Surgery
  Cheek implants usually take about 30 to 45 minutes. When cheek implants are being placed in conjunction with another cosmetic procedure, such as a Face Lift, Forehead Lift or Eyelid Surgery, the implants may be inserted through the incisions made for those procedures. Otherwise, an incision will be made either inside your upper lip or your lower eyelid. A pocket is then created and an implant is inserted.
• Liposuction
  You will be asked by your surgeon to point out areas that concern you and would like to see improved. Realistic expectations about what can and cannot achieve by the procedure will be addressed by your surgeon. Liposuction is most successful in people with normal body weight, with good skin tone and those who have isolated unwanted fatty deposits.. If weight gain occurs after liposuction, the fat may be deposited in areas that have not been treated. The procedure can be repeated if necessary.

In certain cases, the arcus marginalis release technique is used where the lower eyelid fat is preserved and used to fill the hollow, dark circle or prominent lower border of the bony orbit. The excess lower eyelid skin can then be directly trimmed or resurfaced and tightened using chemical or laser resurfacing techniques.
