Called these people for an estimate on repair work on my fireplace. They quoted me a price that I thought I couldn't afford and I put off having it done. A friend of mine then suggested another vendor that repaired chimneys. To my surprise, they were half the cost of Boston and did a great job!

When we bought our home the inspector recommended a chimney inspection and suggested we call Boston Brick and Stone. Turned out to be a great recommendation! They came out, fixed the problem and did a full cleaning. Highly recommend.

DO NOT USE. Absolutely terrible company. Our home was built in 1986; and they recommended both chimneys be rebuilt/replaced at a cost of $20,000-$30,000. Another reputable company did their own inspection and found only minor repairs needed for $2500.



The only conclusion I can reach is that Boston Brick was trying to SCAM me out of $30,000 by providing bogus recommendations.



Look at other reviews of this company...other people have had similar experiences to mine.

I would give no stars if that was an option. Very friendly over the phone which is always great so i had them do an inspection. I was at the home when they did it because i was i purchasing the house. The chimney tech showed me all the details of the chimney with that camera and said this is in great shape both chimney's just needs a little work...liner, flashing and crown. Sounded great and wanted an estimate. Got back to me a few days later with a $16k (yes you're reading that right) rebuild estimate. I was blown away by the estimate because the tech that came said it was "no biggy" about $2,500 off the top of his head. When i inquired about it, the head chimney guy there who only saw pictures decided it needed to be rebuilt. That's very manipulative estimating claiming its unsafe considering the offer/estimate came from someone who didn't even see the chimneys to begin with. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR MAKE ONE MORE CALL AND SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY. I called for another estimate and spent $2k to resolve all the issues. Quite the difference. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

I had been in the process of buying a new home and was told by our home inspector that it would be advisable to receive a chimney inspection. So, I called Boston Brick & Stone and they were able to send someone out the very next day. The inspector was very courteous and professional he answered all my questions, I was very happy with this service.
