The company did a great job with our home. The were really good at helping us pick the right product for our roof. They kept us informed of each step and were very respectful to myself and my wife. I would recommend them.

In October 2013, I had a complete roof replacement done by Ryan Roofing to prepare the house to be sold. Dan Ryan personally told me he would obtain approval from the homeowner association design committee before performing the work. According to the property management company, approval was not requested, and I was threatened with a fine and a lien on my house for not complying. In February, the inspector for the potential buyer of my home found several quality deficiencies in the installation including shingles which were not properly nailed down and flashing which was not installed at critical junctions. The inspector also noticed that the gutter guards had been removed when the roof was installed, and since they failed to replace them, the gutters and downspouts were clogged with leaves and roofing debris. After two months, I am still trying to get these issues resolved. After reading other reviews about Ryan, it appears they do fine on minor roofing repairs, but others have also had problems after a full roof replacement. Mr. Ryan is personable and enthusiastic about getting the work, but is slow to resolve problems. Get several estimates and references and carefully consider alternatives before committing to this company.

Ryan's rep is like a used car salesman. He sells inferior services, and once the work is completed, you're on your own. Good luck getting them to honor their warranty.

Dan Ryan doesn't pay his bill!

Ryan Construction Systems Inc in Kansas City are fantastic. I could explain the entire long story as to how my roof began to leak, but that is immaterial at this point (and it's not that exciting either). I called Dan Ryan, left him a message, and he returned my call a few hours later. We discussed my issue in detail (it was around 5:30pm on Thursday). I explained that it wasn't a terrible, flooding issue, just a few drops - and that I determined through some deductive reasoning - originated from a skylight. Dan listened to my story and said he would send someone to investigate the situation the next day. On Friday, we talked and he told me that someone was on his way to take a look at my roof. We had a scheduled time and they were there at the exact time. I drove up to my house and the men were already working. They explained to me the issue and told me they could repair it on the spot. Mind you, it was raining steadily, but faze them it did not. In less than an hour and a half they dismantled the skylight, removed shingles, installed new flashing, and replaced the shingles. The leak was repaired and the roof was better than when they arrived. If you need roof repair, Ryan Construction Systems in Kansas City, MO. I should add that they are extremely reasonable in cost. 5 Stars is not enough to give Dan Ryan and his team for the swift and excellent work they did on my roof vent replacement in Kansas City, MO! They came by as scheduled, explained what needed to be done, and they finished the work in less than an hour. My experiences with Kansas City contractors in the past have been what I would call, less than ideal. So when I needed a roofer to fix the leak that had developed over eight year old bedroom, I was dreading the prospect of having to wade through a sea of, what I thought would be, unprofessional roofing contractors. Fortunately for me, I decided to ask a neighbor if they could recommend someone. My wife and I just brought a house in Kansas City Briarcliff Neighborhood. W have two kids and really needed our floors remodel since this house came with carpet. As you know carpet doesn't mix with kids or pets, so we decided to change the floors to tile for the kitchen, bathrooms, and living room and hardwoods floors for all the bedrooms. It came out spectacular! After the floors were done and how it came out, I decided to let Dan and his crew remodel the whole house, such as the type of cabinet to be installed to make the house look much roomier. They added ceiling trim throughout the whole house which made this house look even more superior. I chose them because I felt comfortable working with the Dan. He was an honest, straight forwdard, idealist and easy going. Throughout the process he was constantly in contact with me, often updating me with his work just to make sure I was pleased with it and involved every change he made. Tonight I was almost run off the road by either an employee or the owner of this company. You should be more careful. I was in a car accident a year and a half ago and I have never fully recovered. You could ruin a person's life. And, flipping someone off, is just unacceptable. I don't appreciate it. I know this is at least the company that you work before because your company name was on the side of the truck. It was rude. I would expect more courtesy from a company that has been in business for more than 25 years.

Upon deciding to remodel my bathroom, I scheduled a total of 4 estimates. Dan Ryan of Ryan Construction Systems Inc arrived first and in retrospect, I should have canceled the other estimates. Being a single female who wanted to appear like she had some idea of what was going on; I had every intention to pretend that I understood the remodel process. I was totally going to nod emphatically and make verbal noises to express my comprehension. With Dan, this was not necessary; he made sure that I understood. He took extensive measurements, wrote an itemized estimate, and explained how the entire process worked. The three estimates from other contractors afterward were awful. Not one took measurements, two sent an estimate later which felt shady, and one just disappeared. Dan did a magnificent job. I didn't get a new bathroom; I got a spa-room. It is incredible. The tile work is intricate and beautiful, the installation of furniture is perfect!

I discovered a roof leak the other week during one of Kansas City - Blah rainy days. I have a Spanish tile type of roof and I was not about to climb on it to see what the problem was. I was refered to Ryan Construction Systems Inc and Dan via a friend. I called him on a Sunday and he came out the following day (very rare to get someone out the following day for a leaky roof). He found the problem (slipped tile and worn out paper) and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He returned as promised and completed the work in a timely manner. I found Dan R. to be very honest and knowledgeable about his work. Most roofers don't want to be bothered with such a small job. I now know who I'll be calling when its time for a new roof. We had our home reroofed by Ryan after the tornado in 2008. After the snow in January 2010, our living room ceiling started leaking. We contacted Ryan and they responded by sending out an inspector whosaid the work was poorly done. Then I told him his company did it. Two weeks later we got a proposal in the mail for $2400 worth of repair that would not be covered by Ryan's guarantee. They did crappy work and lied on their guarantee. STAY AWAY FROM RYAN ROOFING.

I was having a lot of roof problems and procrastinated on doing anything about it. Mr. Ryan came out and looked at my roof the day I called them. They replaced my roof the very next day and filed the insurance paperwork for me. It was hassle-free and they were very professional. Rarely would I take the time to write about a business, but I thought they went above and beyond.
