- X-raysYour dentist has invested in this technology to see more of your teeth and surrounding structure as it relates to your dental anatomy. Traditional dental x-rays are cumbersome and may cause a gagging reflex. 3D scans are much more comfortable, much less invasive, and provide a more relaxed and enjoyable treatment experience. The accuracy, precision, and clarity of images produced by 3D scans allow your dental professional to provide a better diagnosis, and helps prepare for a wide range of dental procedures, such as...
- Teeth CleaningA dental cleaning is a professional cleaning you receive from a dentist or dental hygienist. Most dental cleanings take less than an hour. Cleanings should be performed every six months to prevent excessive plaque buildup. Plaque left untreated can lead to unhealthy gums and tooth decay. A routine dental cleaning should include scaling, root planing, and polishing.
- Fluoride TreatmentI believe in a philosophy of preserving tooth structure through preventative dentistry. Many of the kids we have treated over the years now enjoy filling free teeth because of sealants, fluoride treatments and regular cleanings and x-rays. Nothing man can make is as good as tooth structure you are born with. My goal is to maintain your healthy beautiful smile for many years.
- Dental SealantsSealants are used to fill in narrow grooves in a tooth that cannot be adequately cleaned by brushing. In some cases, the tooth structure has fine grooves or pits which accumulate plaque, not because the person doesn’t brush, but because they’re too narrow to allow even one bristle into them. These will develop cavities over time, and you don’t want that. So the dentist will brush on a coating that seals the grooves and pits, making it possible to brush off all the plaque and keep your teeth healthy.

- Resin CompositeThe direct technique usually involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is usually referred to as bonding.
- VeneersVeneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.
- CrownsAn exciting addition to our practice 4 years ago was the CAD/CAM Cerec Crown Machine. We can now digitize your teeth and fabricate a long lasting beautiful porcelain crown that fits better than most laboratory created crowns. From the time you walk-in until its done is 2 hours. At the end of 2 hours you have a crown permanently cemented in place ready to chew on. No impressions, no temporary crown for 2 weeks. Your chewing on it that night. Its an amazing device. Each time I use it, I’m still amazed, and so will you.

- Root Canal TreatmentA root canal is done when the nerve within the tooth is irreversibly damaged. A hole is made in the top of the tooth and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and shaped to remove the nerve. The roots remain but the nerve is gone. The space where the nerve used to be, is replaced with a rubbery filling material. The tooth is sealed up and a crown is usually done to prevent the tooth from fracture as it becomes brittle. Many people think a root canal means that the roots are removed and this is not the case. Once the root canal is done, the tooth cannot feel hot or cold any more but it does sense pressure. A root canal can fail and infection can reoccur at the base of the roots. When this happens, the tooth needs to be retreated with a new root canal or an additional procedure called an apicoectomy. These procedures are often done by a specialist in endodontics.

- Deep CleaningWith proper gum treatments, however, it may be possible to return gum tissue to a healthy state. If you’re having a problem, come in and see us so we may treat it right away. The treatment usually involves a deep cleaning or root planing done under a local anesthetic, along with local antibiotic agents. If the gum disease gets too severe it may need to be treated through surgery or extraction. This is why it is important to have it treated at the first sign of a problem.
- DenturesA denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures available, including partial and complete dentures. Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain, while complete dentures are used to completely replace all teeth. Dentures are made to resemble your natural teeth so there should be no noticeable change to your appearance. In fact, dentures may even improve your smile!
- Dental ImplantsParker Family Dental is offering implant placement and restoration. By incorporating 3D radiograph technology with CAD CAM technology we have the capability to first perform the implant surgery digitally before performing the surgery live.

- BracesThey’re practically invisible, so most people won’t even know you’re in treatment, they fit you perfectly, so they’re more comfortable than regular braces, and they’re removable, so you can eat whatever you like and clean your teeth normally.
- Teeth WhiteningTooth whitening is a popular procedure to make teeth whiter and brighter, and therefore more attractive. Bleaching can be used to whiten stained and discolored teeth, or simply to enhance a dull smile. Either way, tooth whitening is a safe and relatively painless procedure ideal for most patients. Our office offers two methods of whitening: in-office whitening and tray whitening.
