Frank Stone Middle School is an educational that provides a range of academic and extracurricular programs for more than 700 students in grades six through eight. It is recognized by the Texas Education Agency and manages a staff of over 75 employees. The school provides classes in physical education, science, math, social studies and English. It also imparts instruction in art, music, keyboarding, history and journalism. Frank Stone Middle School s library stocks a variety of books, computer games, magazines, and reference materials for leisure reading and classroom assignment and project assistance. It participates in special programs for students with dyslexia, disabilities and limited English proficiency. The school has a parent-teacher association, as well as drama, choir and band clubs and football, volleyball, cheerleading and basketball teams. Additionally, it provides counseling and meal services. Frank Stone Middle School is a part of the North Lamar Independent School District, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
