Roosevelt Elementary School is a part of the Paramount Unified School District. The school enrolls students in grade kindergarten through eight and is located in Paramount, Calif. It involves parents through the parent-teacher association, school site council and the English language advisory committee. It organizes parent workshops in reading and language arts, mathematics, English language development, gifted and talented education and grade level orientations at transitional points. It provides support for identified gifted and talented students, such as special education program and funds schoolwide initiatives, such as school improvement program. It provides parent education and English language development classes through community-based English tutoring and title I program. It offers special education services to students with mental, emotional, learning and physical disabilities.
