Founded in 1968, Stevenson House is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing options for senior citizens above the age of 60. The agency was built under the sponsorship of the Palo Alto Senior Housing Project and has partnership with Palo Alto Unitarian Universalist Church. It features more than 90 studios and over 25 one-bedrooms with a bathroom and kitchen. Stevenson House organizes several social and recreational programs, including birthday celebrations, concerts and educational events. The agency employs a nurse who addresses various health concerns, such as podiatry issues and blood pressure- and skin-related problems. In addition, it offers 24-hour assistance, translation and transportation services. Stevenson House is located in Palo Alto, Calif.
